When IWC released their latest iteration of the Gerald Genta-designed Ingenieur back in March at Watches & Wonders, I was legitimately excited. Finally, a modern take on cheap replica watches from a legendary designer that created such icons as the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus that’s somehow within my budget. I no longer needed to drool over the nearly impossible to get, let alone afford, Royal Oak Jumbo – and while I don’t have the same level of admiration for the perfect fake Patek Philippe Nautilus watches, I still quite enjoy the look and would gladly get one if I could.
The excitement for this launch was real for me, but when luxury CA IWC replica watches announced the price, people were a little surprised, myself included. At $11,700 ($14,600 for the titanium version), it felt too expensive, especially when compared to some of the Swiss movements copy watches already in the brand’s catalog.
When you think about it, even IWC’s very own top replica IWC Pilot’s Watches Mark XX on a stainless steel bracelet is nearly half the price at $6,150 and comes equipped with eerily similar specs. Sure, the design of the AAA China super clone watches is quite different (and I love the new design, especially the aqua-green dial version), but is that alone enough to justify a $5,550 difference in cost?
Well, I got a chance to spend a week with the black replica watches for men (it also comes in aqua green, white, and a grey titanium variant), so I decided to grab my video camera and head over to my local thinking spot to ponder whether or not the new best IWC Ingenieur fake watches is worth it.
